Schools will be closed January 18, 2018 due to winter weather conditions. Everyone stay safe!

For the safety of our students and employees, schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 17th, 2018. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory which includes a forecast of snow and black ice. Have a wonderful evening and stay warm!

During their Christmas Party, Mrs. Elliott’s 5th grade class made these cute, baby hats for the Carolina Pregnancy Center’s Earn While You Learn Store! The class has spent the semester learning about all kindness and giving to others.

AMES students are enjoying the new gaga pit at recess! Even some of our teachers are taking part in the game!

Congratulations to AMES' 2018 Spelling Bee winner, Jennifer, and and our first runner up, Meg! We are extremely proud of both of them!

AMES 5th grade student council representatives spent the afternoon sorting and shelving all of the canned goods donated to AMES for the D6 Food Bank. Thank you to everyone who donated!

What a great Career Fair for AMES students! Some of the careers represented were dental hygienist, veterinary technician, police officer, firefighter, student resource officer, nurse, physician, artist, child safety specialist, clothing general manager, field technician, athletic director, martial arts instructor, business owner, police/fire investigator, engineer, cable/internet administrator, insurance, SWAT team, chemist, lawyer, and banking manager. WOW!

What an honor to have veterans and parents join AMES students for lunch to celebrate Veterans Day! All veterans were treated to a delicious meal in our cafeteria with a yummy dessert! Thank you to all that serve and have served!
